Water damage rarely arrives as a single problem. A burst pipe starts with standing water, moves to wet drywall and flooring, and can end with mold if the structure stays damp. Each stage has its own service page, so you can read what applies to you.
If you are not sure which stage you are in, call the dispatch line. We will ask where the water came from, how long it has been there and what it touched, then point you to the right step. Restoration is not plumbing or roofing, and we will say so when your problem belongs to another trade.
Which service fits which situation
Use the table as a quick guide. Water in the room right now points to extraction. Water that has been stopped but left things wet points to mitigation and cleanup. A dry structure with damaged finishes points to repair, and any musty smell or dark growth after a leak points to mold work.
| What you see | Start here | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Standing water on the floor | Emergency water removal | Pumps and extraction units remove the bulk of the water first. |
| Soaked carpet, wet walls, source stopped | Water mitigation | Moisture mapping and drying equipment stop hidden damage. |
| Storm runoff or sewage in the home | Flood damage restoration | Contaminated water needs removal and sanitizing, not just drying. |
| Debris, ruined materials, odor | Water damage cleanup | Wet materials come out and the space is sanitized. |
| Dry but stained, warped or holed finishes | Water damage repair | Drywall, flooring and paint are rebuilt after drying. |
| Musty smell or dark spots after a leak | Mold remediation | Containment and removal follow once the moisture source is fixed. |
How the services fit together
Most jobs use more than one service in order. Extraction and mitigation happen in the first days, cleanup overlaps with them, and repair waits until readings show the structure is dry. Skipping the drying step to rebuild faster is how mold ends up behind new paint.
Because the desert is dry, people assume wet materials will dry on their own. Indoors, wet drywall and subfloor can stay damp for a long time when nothing moves the air, which is why drying equipment and moisture readings matter even in a low-humidity town.

☎ Call (760) 769-1159What every job includes
Every job opens with a talk about what the work includes and how it is priced. The crew documents the damage with photos, moisture readings and drying logs so your insurance file is complete. A same-day crew is offered if one is free, with no arrival time attached.
Asking the right questions before you hire
Whoever you call, ask for the scope of work in plain language and how pricing is set. Ask how drying will be verified, whether moisture readings will be shared and whether the crew works to the ANSI/IICRC S500 water damage standard or S520 for mold. Those questions take two minutes and reveal a lot.
Be wary of anyone who quotes a flat price without seeing the damage, or who wants to rebuild before the structure reads dry. Hidden moisture is the usual cause of mold after a repair, and the mold remediation page explains how that happens.
Insurance and documentation
Insurers decide coverage, not restoration companies. What we can do is record what happened with photos, moisture readings and drying logs. Check your policy or ask your insurer whether the event counts as sudden and accidental, and whether you carry flood coverage if water came from outside.

Do you charge for an assessment?
The dispatch line explains scope and how pricing is set before any work starts. Ask about assessment details when you call, because they depend on the size of the job.
Can you do plumbing or roof repairs?
No. We handle drying, cleanup, restoration and mold work. A plumber fixes the pipe and a roofer fixes the roof, and we will tell you if that is the first call to make.
